Tutorial
DueDate for iPhone · Jaceal LLC
The first time you open DueDate, a short four-page tour shows you the basics. This page walks through the same four steps, with a little more detail.
1. See every charge coming
Subscriptions and bills for the next 30 days in one list, with your monthly total on top.
The Upcoming tab is your home screen. Trials show a badge with the days left, so a free trial never sneaks into a paid plan.
- The list covers the next 30 days, with your monthly total at the top.
- If something is in another currency, it is shown alongside your total, not converted. DueDate doesn’t fetch exchange rates.
- On a charge day, open the item and log the payment to move it to its next date.
2. Add one in 10 seconds
Name, amount, how often, next date. No bank link, no account, nothing to connect.
Pick subscription or bill, choose a currency, and set how often it repeats. Add a trial end date, a reminder lead time, and your own notes about how to cancel if you like.
- Tap the add button on Upcoming, then fill in Name, Amount, Currency, Repeats and the next charge or due date.
- Have a free trial? Add the trial end date and DueDate will also warn you before it ends.
- The “How to cancel” field is for your own notes or a link. DueDate doesn’t cancel anything for you.
- Free covers 5 items. Pro lifts the limit and adds categories.
3. Reminded before it bills
A notice a few days before each charge, and before a free trial turns into a paid one.
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. You choose how many days ahead, per item.
- Pick how many days ahead you want each reminder with “Remind me”.
- DueDate asks for notification permission when you save your first item, so the reason is clear.
- Reminders are scheduled on each iPhone, so they work without a connection.
4. Private by design
Your list stays on your phone and in your own iCloud. No ads, no tracking, no account.
The App Store privacy label for DueDate is Data Not Collected.
- iCloud sync is on for everyone and uses your own private iCloud storage. You can turn it off in Settings.
- Pro adds a Face ID lock if you want one more layer on top.
- Nothing is collected: the App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.
Skip it, or replay it later
Tap Skip on any page of the tour to leave it. The last page has a See Upcoming button that does the same thing. Either way, DueDate remembers you have seen it and goes straight to your list next time.
To watch it again, open Settings, then Help, and tap Replay tutorial.
